The arena is now empty, no longer filled with matadors, picadors and crowds of people hopeful to see a good bull fight.

Bull fighting is one of the most controversial topics in all of Spain. Luckily, many Catalonians felt that it was inhumane to kill a bull as a form of entertainment. After many years of participating, what does a city do with an unused bull fighting ring?

Intelligently, they turn it into a museum of course. The old Barcelona bull fighting ring is now the Plaza de Toros monumental de Barcelona. The arena is now empty, no longer filled with matadors, picadors and crowds of people hopeful to see a good bull fight. The dark stalls, previously occupied by bulls the night before a fight, are cruelty free. Technically, the only things living in the arena are past memories and preserved pictures and costumes from traditional fights.
