I just got back from Valencia and it was a blast. I went there for Las Fallas and it was so cool. Las Fallas are some statue/monument like things made out of a paper material. Some were as big as the buildings; they were huge. I heard that some of them cost 60,000 Euros to make. And at the end of the night they are all burned to the ground. They were the biggest fires I've ever seen. While everything was burning fireworks were going off as well. There were fireworks going off all throughout the night in different locations. Also, little kids were lighting off firecrackers and smoke bombs everywhere. My ears are still ringing from the noises. I'm surprised no one got hurt and so shocked that this is allowed in Spain. This would never happen in America. Also, there were so many people at this festival; it was extremely hard to move at times. This just shows how popular this festival has become over the years. Overall, I had a great time at this festival and it was a great cultural experience.
