What is your most embarrassing travel experience?

Spanish is very different by country, and I learned most of my Spanish in Spain. When I taught English in Argentina, I learned that things you can say in Spain are absolutely not appropriate in Argentina! For instance, the verb "coger" (to catch) in Spain is acceptable, but in Argentina, it is not a good thing to say! I said this by mistake in Argentina, and some of my friends thought it was very very funny!
