Parc de la Ciutadella

Yesterday I went to Parc de la Ciutadella with Emily, T'Ericka and April. Today also marked the end of our second to last week of classes for this session.

¡Hola todos!

Well, we now only have five classes left until the end of the first summer session. My mind still has not quite grasped this! The classes are so fast passed, and it seems time goes even faster here than it usually does. I guess that means I better make the best of the next week and a half because after that, most of this group will be gone and there will be more students to meet arriving. My Spanish class has been going really well and I really like both of my teachers. I ran into Maria on the metro today and we had a nice talk in Spanish about the class and what I'd been doing since I've been here. I have definitely improved my Spanish speaking since being here, but I still have a lot to go and hope to advance even more over the next month.

Yesterday I went to the Parc de la Ciutadella with Emily, T'Ericka, and April, which I am very happy about! The park is absolutely beautiful and we had a great time. We walked around and took pictures of the Cascada Fountain and then we decided to take a boat ride in a small pond they have there. This was definitely one of the coolest things I've done and seen while here in Barcelona. I was in charge of rowing the boat, and I am happy to say I did quite well! It was hard at first, but I started to get the hang of it. Due to people shifting in the boat, we almost tipped over a time or two, but it was really entertaining. Tonight I have plans to go and have Tapas with my roommates at a place Talia and Michelle, two girls who work for the program, told me about. This will be the first time I've actually gone out for dinner and I am really looking forward to it. We also have the big excursion to Costa Brava this weekend to look forward to! It is going to be absolutely amazing. The program has a lot planned for us to do, and I also look forward to getting to spend some time at the beach there. I'm surprised with how many friends I've made here already and am sad it is getting closer to when they will be leaving, but that only means I will meet more friends next session. I will be back to write about my adventures in Costa Brave Sunday night. Espero que todos tengan un buen fin de semana.
