Hola Amigos,

My week of relaxation is quickly coming to an end with classes just around the corner. I really had a great few days off and an eventful weekend. My plans for today were thrown off because of a surprising amount of rain. This morning I got up and made it to the MNAC-Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya, and it was already raining. The museum was really awesome both with the contents it had as well as the design of the inside. There were many amazing ceilings throughout the museum that I liked very much. The museum was split up into different areas, which included: gothic art, Romanesque art, renaissance and baroque art, modern art, numismatics, and drawings, prints and posters. I really enjoyed the entire museum but as I hypothesized, my favorite parts were the modern art and the drawings, prints and posters along with the ceilings.

I spent about two hours in the museum before venturing back out into the rain. I decided instead of running all over town trying to get into other museums I would head home for a little siesta. When I woke up, the rain had actually stopped and the sky was blue. So, I decided I would still hit the parade. The parade was a lot of fun. It was similar to a street party, and there were very many people. However, shortly after I got there, the rain started up again. At first it was a nice, bearable rain, but after a few minutes it was in a straight down pour mode. I stayed around for a little longer to see when the parade actually got started. Then I retired and came back home. Because of the rain, I decided to stay in and not go to a bar to watch the game. I guess I will have to listen to the screams from my window to try and judge what is going on. Let's go Spain! The rain still hasn't let up, however I don't think it is coming down as hard now. I was really surprised by all the rain today especially considering how hot it has been this past week.

I've got to get back in the habit of getting up early for classes tomorrow, which will be quite challenging. Bring on the café con leche! Last night I was also able to go out with Molly, Melissa and Kelli as well as a few people from this month’s group. We went to an Irish bar and it was a lot of fun, but also sad because we were saying our goodbyes to Molly and Melissa. I've very thankful for all the friends I have made and miss everyone from the first session. Tomorrow I will get a chance to meet more people from this month’s group and hope I will make just as good of friends as I did last month. I hope everyone has a good week. Adiós.
